What is Service Dog Punk?

Service Dog Punk is a retro-styled blog/website focusing on disability activism, service dog handling, DIY, zines, the punk subculture and music. This project is a labor of love featuring my own art, writing and coding.

I wanted a platform to share my art that was more reminiscent of the old internet. I have a certain nostalgic love for these websites and their modern counterparts, but I'm aware that many of them could be inacccessible, to say the least. Because this site was created with disabled experiences in mind, I've tried to make sure it can be visible to as many people as possible. All blinkies, stamps and buttons on my main pages are stationary, and there are no flickering lights, flashing images autoplay, or GIFs. I will also try to keep content mostly family-friendly,, since I want this website to be an educational resource. However, a few pages may break these rules, so be mindful of any .As I work on the site, I hope to add more features such as built-in screenreaders and collapsable image descriptions for blind or visually impaired readers.
